Highlights:
• Development of its activities in accordance with rigor, ethics and professionalism.
• Tubacex Foundation; channeling social challenges and promoting the Agenda 2030.
When TUBACEX launched its Code of Conduct, it was aware of its role in the value chain and its ability to foster policies that would promote ethical behavior. It was a question of promoting the business in an environmentally friendly way and with respect for all of the stakeholders, as well as the development of its commercial activities in accordance with rigor, ethics and the strictest professionalism, extending this commitment to its value chain.
With the approval of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development through the Sustainable Development Goals, TUBACEX set up a Foundation through which it prioritizes its actions, focusing its efforts on three main lines of work.
Education, promoting dual training programs and international grants which respond to the company’s transformation and the adaptation of its teams to more competitive and global environments
Social Action. With the implementation of a project in collaboration with UNICEF to foster education in India, a region in which TUBACEX is present, by improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene.
Functional Diversity. With the aim of fostering the integration of diverse talent in the workforce. Associated SDG: 8. Decent work and economic growth.
Alliances, the key element.
The establishment of alliances in each line of work, as well as in the general business area, has enabled experiences to be accumulated and join forces in the definition of shared objectives, aimed at fulfilling internationally renowned goals. It is a priority and necessary objective.
From management to report
The implementation of the SDG or, in short, the principles of action in terms of sustainable development through management is one of the great challenges that organizations face. In the case of TUBACEX, and as part of its philosophy of ongoing improvement, essential principles of excellence have been integrated into its business model, finding a direct link to the great challenges in terms of sustainability. An example of this is the EFQM model, which establishes that excellent organizations produce an impact by increasing their own performance whilst improving the economic, environmental and social conditions of the communities in which they operate. On the other hand, the report of the achievements represents an opportunity to position all of the stakeholders in society (civil, business or institutional society) in light of the Agenda 2030.
